Murray James

Murray James is a 21 year-old singer from Milford on Sea.
Drawing on influences from soul, hip hop and reggae he writes his own songs and delivers with his own unique inimitable style with a distinct vocal that defies appearance. Murray started playing guitar at 11 years old, writing at 14 and playing his first gig at 16.
Murray is in the process of recording his debut album between the UK and the States. Influences include Al Green, Mos Def, Common, Ray Charles and Otis Redding. An exciting talent is about to explode onto the scene and cement his place as one of Britain’s most exciting new artists.
He is one of Deconstruction Record’s major hopes for 2011
