Having built his reputation with a series of stunning single releases, the latest being his much-lauded track with Fred Falke (‘YSLM (You Stopped Loving Me)’, BURNS has emerged as one of the UK’s most intriguing new artists, with an impressive array of supporters ranging from Aeroplane, A Trak and Annie Mac to Pete Tong, Calvin Harris, Soulwax, the Ed Banger crew and beyond. The son of a watercolour artist and pro-heavyweight boxer, BURNS has been championed by the NME, The Times, The Guardian, Time Out, Mixmag, DJ magazine, and many more. His remix CV includes the likes of The Gossip, Empire Of The Sun, Ladyhawke, Wolfmother, Calvin Harris, Passion Pit, Kasabian, and Dizzee Rascal. BURNS also wrote and produced a track on Kelis’ recent album. Released to rave reviews earlier this summer, ‘This Is BURNS – European Sex Music’, was BURNS’ first compilation and a soundtrack to his recent life on the road (numerous UK, US, and Australian tours with highlights including Glastonbury, Space Ibiza, Ibiza Rocks, Oxegen, Together, and the Big Chill). BURNS’ will release his solo album in 2011.
